Add festive sparkle to your holiday greetings with this step-by-step tutorial on making a Christmas Iris Card using Couture Creations Crafts’ Glitter Cardstock. Perfect for crafters who love elegant textures and eye-catching designs, this project will bring joy to both the maker and the receiver.
Step 1 Cut forest green glitter cardstock to A5 size using a guillotine. Score down the centre with a scoring board and fold in half.
Step 2 Open the card and place the template on the inside left panel. Trace the triangle with a pencil and cut it out using a craft knife.
Step 3 Cut cypress cardstock into 1-inch strips with a guillotine. Score each strip lengthwise about one-third down and fold along the score line.
Step 4 Lay the triangle template on your work surface. Place the card glitter-side down over the template and tape it in place. Begin iris folding by placing folded strips in numbered order (1, 2, 3, etc), with the folded edge facing inwards and the raw edge taped down. Finish with a small piece of forest green glitter cardstock. In the center.
Step 5 Use double-sided foam tape to attach plain cardstock over the back of the folded area, hiding the tape and creating a clean finish.
