6. Colour the 2½”x ¾” white cardstock with light gold, orange, fuchsia and festive red Winkles.
7. Adhere the die-cut chosen word to this piece.
8. Now adhere this to the black and silver word mats.
9. Set aside.

TO MAKE A KITE

10. Using the 4”x 5½” piece, place a mark at 2” on either end of the 4” side.
11. Along the 5½” side, place a mark at 3¾” on both sides, measuring from 1 end only.
12. Cut from the 2” mark to the 3¾” mark on both sides, also from the 3¾” to the 2” mark.
13. This is now your kite base.
14. Draw a light pencil mark between the 2” marks.
15. Draw between the 2 x 3¾” marks also.
16. This will be helpful when attaching the silver cardstock and the patterned paper. The pencil marks can be erased later.
17. Cut the larger silver pieces from corner to corner, taking care to cut 1 from top right to the bottom left corner and the 2nd piece from the top left to the bottom right corner.
18. When cutting the smaller silver kite pieces, keep the 1¾” side at the top.
19. Do the same as with the larger pieces.
20. Cut the patterned pieces in the same way.
21. Adhere the silver card to the front of the kite.
22. Now adhere the patterned paper to the respective silver pieces.
23. You could make a second kite with the leftover pieces if you wish.
24. Attach black twine to the bottom point of the kite for the tail.
25. Using adhesive rectangles, attach the kite to the front of the card.
26. Glue the word piece to the front of your card.
27. Die cut various shapes and attach to the front of your card.
28. For the spiders, I coloured a small piece of white cardstock with Festive
red Winkles and glued to the back of the spiders.
29. By adding Crystal Accents to the eyes, you get a great shine.
30. For the front of the card, I chose an assortment of bats, a witch, ghosts and spiders.
31. Attach the spiders to the twine kite tail.
32. Note: All black die cuts have been coloured with black Winkles.
